Memory Lane

Looking back on Memory Lane,
You realize things aren't the same.
The look on your innocent face,
Reminds you of a time and place.
Where innocence was taken away,
You were lost and in so much pain.
The pain you didn't want to feel,
The pain you didn't know how to deal.
The guilt had you by the hold,
How would you learn to let go.
For the tears you have cried,
For your innocence has died.
You feel so Much shame,
Starving becomes a game.
As your body is becoming smaller,
Your anger is becoming much taller.
With the help from family and friends,
You realize that your life doesn't have to end.
So you check yourself into the hospital,
You start to think that anything is possible.
Looking back on Memory Lane,
You realize things aren't the same.
When you looked at the man's evil face,
You see happiness in its place.
